About colors.li

A fast, honest color tool — free for everyone.

colors.li helps you find a color palette in a keystroke and get it into your project in seconds. No sign-up, no paywalls, nothing uploaded — just colors, fast.

Why it exists

Picking colors shouldn't be a chore.

Choosing colors that actually work together is slow and subjective — and once you've picked them, getting them into code (hex, CSS variables, a Tailwind scale) is a second chore. Most generators stop at the swatch. The polished ones tend to put saving behind a paywall.

colors.li does the whole loop. Press Space for a balanced palette, lock what you like, and copy it as CSS, SVG, JSON or a Tailwind config. Check contrast, pull colors out of a photo, or browse a thousand ready-made schemes — all in one place, all free.

What we care about

Four things, done well

Fast

One keystroke to a palette, one click to export. The interface stays out of the way so the color is the content.

Free

No Pro tier, no save limit, no sign-up to start. It stays free, funded by ads later — never a paywall.

Private

Everything runs in your browser. Your images and palettes are processed locally and never uploaded.

Honest

Palettes are generated and named by us, not scraped from someone else. Real data, no fake numbers.
