Privacy

Short version: everything runs in your browser.

colors.li is designed to be private by default.

  • No accounts, no tracking of colors. Palette generation, image color extraction, contrast checking and gradient building all happen locally in your browser.
  • Images stay on your device. When you use the image picker, the file is read and processed in the browser and is never uploaded to a server.
  • Palettes in URLs. A palette's colors are encoded in its URL so you can share it. That's the only place a palette "lives" — we don't store it.
  • Standard server logs. Like any website, our server may keep basic request logs (such as IP address and user agent) for security and reliability. These are not used to profile you.

Questions? This is a simple tool — if anything here is unclear, treat the guiding principle as: your colors are yours.
